What Happened to Jalin Seabron

Jalin Seabron should be alive today. Instead, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office stole his future with a hail of bullets to his back—nine shots fired without reason, without restraint, without justice. After taking Jalin’s life in less than 10 seconds of arriving on the scene, a deputy callously handcuffed his lifeless body.

On February 8, 2025, Jalin gathered with family and friends at the Main Event entertainment center in Highlands Ranch to celebrate his birthday and share the joyful news that he and his partner were expecting their first child. On that fateful night, Jalin was forced to protect his family when chaos erupted inside the venue. But when deputies arrived, they didn’t see a protector, a son, a man deserving of life—they saw a target. Without warning, without cause, they gunned him down. This was not law enforcement. This was an execution. Jalin deserved better. His family deserved better. And we will not let his name be buried beneath the lies of those who pulled the trigger.

THE PROBLEM & THE THREAT

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is working overtime to twist the truth, turning Jalin Seabron from a victim into a villain. Instead of admitting to the reckless and unjustified killing of a young Black man, they’ve posthumously labeled him an "accessory," a desperate attempt to justify shooting him in the back nine times. Meanwhile, they shield the deputy who pulled the trigger, calling him a "brave officer who acted decisively in a dangerous situation."

To make matters worse, they are using their resources to intimidate and criminalize the very people who were with Jalin that night—harassing witnesses, targeting his loved ones, and pushing a false narrative to erase their wrongdoing.

We see through the lies. We won’t let them rewrite the story. Jalin was not the threat. The most egregious threat in this story is the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

THE MARCH FOR JUSTICE

We march because Jalin Seabron deserved better. We march because the truth matters. We march because justice will not be handed to us—we must demand it.

What You Need to Know

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office wants to distort the facts, but here’s the undeniable truth:

  • Jalin never pointed his weapon at anyone.

  • His back was turned to the deputy when shots were fired.

  • The deputy gave no adequate warning before using deadly force.

  • Jalin was never given a reasonable opportunity to comply with any commands.

  • He was shot nine times in the back.

  • In his final moments, Jalin stood alert, composed, and protecting others.

The Demands

Jalin Seabron's family will continue to consider ALL remedies for justice and restoration of their family. At this time, Jalin’s family is demanding the following, knowing that this is just the beginning:

  • Retract the Mischaracterization of Jalin Seabron – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office must retract the false narratives used to demonize Jalin and issue a public correction using the same platforms and energy they used to spread misinformation.

  • Fire the Officer Who Killed Jalin – The officer must be immediately terminated for violating Policy & Procedure B-106, which requires officers to identify themselves and issue a clear verbal warning before using deadly force. Body camera footage confirms no such warning was given.

  • Release the Name of the Officer – The public has a right to know the identity of the officer who killed Jalin. Transparency demands that his name be released without delay.

  • Full Transparency into the Investigation – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office must provide a detailed timeline of the investigation, including the release of all relevant evidence and findings.

  • Public Apology to the Seabron Family – The Sheriff’s Office must issue a formal, public apology to Jalin’s family for their failure to acknowledge their demands and for the harm caused by their indifference.

This fight will not end here. More demands will come as this journey unfolds. Until then, we march, we speak, and we refuse to be silent.

GET INVOLVED

Justice does not move without the power of the people. Jalin’s family cannot fight this fight alone—they need all of us. When they call for a rally, we need to be there. When it’s time to march, we need to stand shoulder to shoulder. When Douglas County tries to silence the truth, our voices must rise even louder. When we stand toe-to-toe with Douglas County and those who oppose justice, our numbers will matter!

Jalin was preparing for a future that was stolen from him. He leaves behind a partner carrying what would have been his first child—a child who will now grow up without their father because of a deputy’s reckless decision. The community will organize to ensure that the baby has everything they need, and we must stand ready to support.

And as we move, we do so with purpose. We will be peaceful, and powerful. We will be relentless, and disciplined. We will be loud, and strategic.

Jalin’s life mattered. His family’s fight matters. And we will not stop until justice is served.
